Method
In saucepan over medium heat, stir together milk and broth; bring to boil. Vigorously whisk in cornmeal. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring often with wooden spoon, until polenta is soft, 25 to 30 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat; stir in butter and Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper, if using.
