Spread butter over 1 side of each bread slice; lay, butter side down, on work surface. Top 1 slice with ham and salsa; sprinkle with cheese. Top with second slice, butter-side up.Grill in panini press until crisp and browned and cheese is melted, 2 to 3 minutes. (Or grill in cast-iron skillet over medium heat, pressing and turning once, about 5 minutes.) Makes 1 serving.
