Preheat oven to 425°F; grease 9- x 13-inch baking dish. Arrange asparagus in baking dish in single layer. Top with olive oil and cream, then sprinkle with garlic and nutmeg; season with salt and pepper. Bake on upper rack of oven until asparagus is tender-crisp, 12 to 15 minutes.
Sprinkle asparagus with mozzarella, Gruyère and bread crumbs. Place under broiler until cheese is melted and starting to brown, 3 to 4 minutes.
