Ingredients

Method

In saucepan over medium-high heat, bring broth to boil. Stir in onions, thyme, rosemary and garlic. Reduce heat to low; simmer for 10 minutes. Reserving 1 cup broth, drain onions (discard thyme and rosemary sprigs). In skillet over medium heat, cook bacon, stirring occasionally and gradually removing some of the fat, until bacon is golden and crispy, about 5 minutes. Add onions and cook, stirring often, 3 minutes. Add beans and reserved broth. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook until liquid is reduced by about half, 5 to 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with parsley.
