In bowl, whisk together miso paste, ginger, vinegar and sugar until smooth; rub over tops of salmon. Let stand for 10 minutes.Place on greased grill over medium-high heat; close lid and grill, turning once, until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, about 8 minutes.
