Ingredients
Method
Preheat oven to broil. In bowl, mix butter, garlic, basil and dill; season with salt and pepper. (Make-ahead: Can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.)
Reserve 1/4 cup of the garlic-herb butter. Brush baguette slices with some of the remaining garlic-herb butter. Place on baking sheet and broil on upper rack of oven until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Set aside.
Meanwhile, in large nonstick skillet, heat reserved 1/4 cup of the garlic-herb butter. Add mussels and cook until heated through and starting to brown, 3 to 5 minutes. Add lemon juice, season with salt and pepper; mix gently. Serve with reserved garlic bread and lemon wedges, if using. Garnish with dill sprigs, if desired.
TEST KITCHEN TIP
Sprinkle the garlic bread with a little grated Cheddar cheese before broiling if you prefer cheesey garlic bread.
