Ingredients
Method
In large bowl, whisk together molasses, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, vinegar and five-spice powder. In large shallow dish, lay turkey drumsticks and thighs side by side; baste with half of the marinade, turning to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for 12 hours. Reserve remaining marinade in refrigerator.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place reserved marinade in saucepan; bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until reduced by half. Remove pan from heat; transfer marinade to refrigerator.
Place turkey pieces in large roasting pan or baking dish. Cover with foil; roast for 45 minutes. Remove foil; continue roasting until instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of meat (not touching bone) reads 170°F and flesh easily detaches from bone (brush turkey pieces with reserved marinade every 10 minutes during last 30 minutes of cooking time), 30 to 45 minutes. Broil until turkey pieces are golden brown, about 5 minutes. Transfer turkey pieces to large serving platter. Strain cooking juices and serve alongside, if desired.
