Fruits and vegetables to eat in February
A roundup of the in-season produce you need to cook and bake with this month
The cold temperatures we saw last month had us wanting to do nothing but hibernate inside with hot comfort foods—and we're feeling the same in February.
We're knee-deep into the best time of the year for indulging in hearty soups (paired with a buttered slice of fresh baguette, naturally) and rich mains (think fall-off-the-bone meats and gooey cheese toppings), and we're looking to this month's in-season fruits and veggies to elevate the flavour in our dishes.
From strawberry shortcakes for Valentine's Day to a slow cooker ham, cabbage and bean soup for frigid nights to a potato and cheese casserole for a satisfying comfort dish, here are the recipes that should be on your to-make list this month.
