Make A Starbucks Iced Lavender Cream Matcha At Home
Want a gourmet drink without the price tag?
Say goodbye to $8 lattes at your favourite coffee shop—we've got a DIY recipe for the drink that's completely replaced our coffee addiction.
During the spring, Starbucks offered a delicious iced matcha with lavender cream. Now that the summer menu is here, our go-to drink was nixed from the line-up so we've had to get creative. Rather than waiting until next year to sip it again, we went on the hunt to find a recipe we could use at home.
Thanks to Lifestyle of a Foodie, this copycat matcha topped with lavender cream is what we're making every morning!
How to make a Starbucks Iced Lavender Cream Matcha at home
For the matcha latte, you'll need:
- 1-2 tsp matcha
- 3 tbsp hot water
- 1 cup oat milk (or milk of choice)
- Ice cubes
For the lavender cream, you'll need:
- 2 tbsp milk of choice
- 2 tbsp whipping cream
- 1-3 tbsp lavender syrup or powder
- Purple food colouring (optional)
For the matcha:
- Add matcha and hot water to a glass and stir until the match is completely dissolved.
- Add the oat milk and then the ice cubes. Make sure to leave room for the lavender cream.
For the lavender cream:
- Add the milk, whipping cream, lavender syrup or powder and food colouring to a measuring cup and whisk until the mixture thickens. You can also use a milk frother and froth cold.
- Adjust the flavour and colour to preference before pouring over your matcha.
