Classic cocktails for Christmas Day
Spirits have long been part of culinary feasts, so it is not surprising that many food professionals also enjoy playing bartender. Like wine, a well-chosen cocktail can enhance the subtle flavours of food while adding flair and fun.
Christmas wouldn't be the same without a classic drink to share with friends and family. Here's a list of our favourites to offer your company this holiday season:
Raspberry Kir Royale (seen in image at left):
Pour 1 oz (2 tbsp/25 mL) raspberry wine (framboise or Crème de Framboise ) into flute; top with sparkling wine. Garnish with fresh or frozen raspberry. Rim glass with sugar, if desired.
More Test Kitchen favourites:
• Coffee Fizz
• Raspberry Rum Mojito
• Frozen Shark Bite
• Moscow Mule
• Gin Kir Cocktail
• Cinnamon Martini
• Vodka Sourtini
• Mock Gewurztraminer
• Suburban Cocktail
• Bourbon Sidecar
