Method
In saucepan, bring sugar, thyme and 1 cup water to boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; cover and let stand for 20 minutes. Discard thyme. Refrigerate syrup until chilled, about 30 minutes.
Makes about 1/2 cups.
