The Superfood Ingredient We're Adding To Our Hot Chocolate
This hot chocolate recipe is all over our Instagram feed, so we thought we'd give it a try.
Hot chocolate is one of those nostalgic winter drinks that makes snowy days tolerable. Sure, we'd much rather have the sun, but one sip of that creamy, decadent drink makes us think, 'Hey, this isn't so bad.'
Lately, we've been seeing tons of people sharing a new ingredient they're adding to hot chocolate: bone broth.
Bone broth is a nutrient-dense version of regular brother, made from boiling animal bones and connective tissue to create a gelatinous, collagen-rich liquid. You can use it as a soup base, in your chili recipe or drink it on its own. Since it's so high in collagen, it's a great way to supplement your diet for joint support and gut health.
You can buy bone broth at the store (usually in the freezer section) or make it at home. Here's our go-to recipe.
Are you ready to add this superfood ingredient to your hot chocolate? We promise it won't taste like chicken!
