Preheat barbecue to medium-high heat (about 375˚F); grease grill. Place plums on grill, cut side down, close lid and cook until plums are grill-marked, about 2 minutes. Flip plums, brush with half of the maple syrup and sprinkle with nutmeg. Continue grilling until plums are tender but still hold their shape, about 2 minutes.
Divide yogurt among 4 small plates. Top with plum halves; drizzle with remaining maple syrup and sprinkle with almonds.
