These buns are bursting with orange flavour and could not be easier to make. The addition of ground cloves to the sugar filling gives them a festive holiday flavour.

Method
In bowl, whisk together flour, sugar baking powder and salt. With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in cold butter until in fine crumbs. Beat eggs with orange juice; drizzle over crumbs, tossing with fork to moisten.Turn out onto lightly floured surface; knead gently until dough comes together, about 6 times. Roll or pat out into 8-inch (20 cm) square; spread with softened butter.
Orange Sugar: Combine sugar, orange zest and cloves; sprinkle over dough. Roll up; cut into 8 slices. Place, cut side down, in greased 9-inch (3 L) tube pan. Bake in 400°F (200°C) oven until golden and puffed, 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool until just warm; remove from pan.
Orange Glaze: Whisk sugar with orange juice; drizzle over wreath. Serve warm or at room temperature.
