Throwback Thursday - Canadian Living & The Blue Jays
Today's Throwback Thursday goes back to
1994 and this special collector's edition in collaboration with
The Toronto Blue Jays. That's
Pat Borders and his daughter on the cover. In 1994, The Blue Jays were the reigning two-time
World Series champions, so Canadian Living asked the players, and their wives, to
share their favourite dishes from home.
How about the
Spragues' Toasted Mushroom Bread, or the
Craigs' Maryland Crab Cakes.
Or
Joe Carter's Corn Pudding, the
Timlins' Jerked Chicken or
John Olerud's mushroom, tomato and feta omelette.
Juan Guzman's mother's Braised Goat is a classic from his native Dominican Republic. There is also the
Knorrs' Hot-and-Spicy Chili and the
Borders' Sweet Potato Casserole.
Here are some of the Jays family desserts; ice cream cake and brownies. If you are in town, check out the
Blue Jays at home this weekend against the Los Angeles Angels.
