Poutine: Finally, a definition
Great news, fellow Canadians! Merriam-Webster has finally decided to add our beloved and delicious (and dare I say national) specialty
to the dictionary. (Yaaaay!)
A French-Canadian dish featuring crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds and scoops of gravy, poutine joins a host of other foodie-friendly terms like
pho, and
turducken. Here's a screengrab of the official definition online:
Whether you're a poutine fan or not this is a pretty big milestone for us Canadians. The beloved dish sets us apart from other comfort foods around the world, and it's super delicious!
