Paris Airport Finds

If you ever happen to find yourself at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, France, to transfer to another flight or on your way home, you'll definitely want to pick up a few of these delicious treats for yourself. Be sure to get a couple of pastries from Paul. This traditional croissant and pain au chocolate were, by far, the most buttery and perfectly flaky baked goods I've ever had. Sadly, eating them just prior to getting on my next flight prevented me from having enough time to run back and buy a half dozen more. Laduree's macarons are almost too beautiful to eat. From the charming little boutique to the rainbow of colours and flavours to choose from, this French pastry shop is a sweet find in a busy airport. My assortment included chestnut, pistachio, salted caramel and raspberry. La Maison du Chocolate  currently has locations found in five countries. The first time I had the pleasure of devouring one of their chocolates was from their New York location, and I just had purchase to small boxes to be brought home as gifts for friends. I can best compare the experience of the taste and texture to chocolate butter. Needless to say I lost all self control and ate the boxes intended as gifts. Thankfully, the intended recipients never knew of their existence and I was left with some shame along with my most indulging chocolate memory. I recommend the praline collection. Do you have any fabulous airport finds to recommend?
