Not into dresses? Here are some summer style picks for you

Not everybody wants to live in easy, breezy dresses come summer. Which is why we've highlighted our favourite pieces to keep it cool this season that aren't frocks.

When it comes to dressing for summer, we tend to think of things that are easy to wear and that will keep us cool—so dresses are sort of our go-to. Petite dresses, plus-size dresses, dresses for weddings—we love (and wear) them all. But we know that many women don't necessarily want to wear a dress every day (or ever) so here are the pieces you should stock your summer wardrobe with.

Pants

While we love our skinny jeans, the summer is a great opportunity to try new styles and silhouettes when it comes to pants. Boyfriend jeans on the weekend, trousers for work, and wide-leg pants for an evening out all make great substitutions for summer dresses. When the temperature soars, look for lighter fabrics and silhouettes that skim away from your body.

Shorts

Jean cut-offs are good for lazy days, but if you want to wear shorts to work you need to be a bit more discerning. Try a style with a longer inseam that are either super structured (think tailored Bermuda shorts) or a breezy pair that could pass as a skirt.

Jumpsuits

As a trend, jumpsuits are still going strong. And while you might think that this style isn't for you, the truth is jumpsuits work for everyone as long as you focus on one truth: fit is everything. If you're cautiously stepping your toe into the trend, look for styles that have a cinched waist.

Culottes

Another trend that isn't going anywhere is culottes. Think of culottes as the older sister of shorts—a little more chic and polished. This piece can be dressed up or down and can pair with shoes ranging from sneakers to stilettos.
