It could have been the Dark Knight Rises trailer I caught on the weekend, or maybe just a steady diet of fall fashion magazines, but I'm rather famished for a cape this season. Just picturing the styling possibilities – over charcoal grey cords, with skinny black pants and lace-up boots or dark jeans and riding boots, with woolly opaque tights and swingy knit skirts – has me swelling with love for these slouchy pieces. Here are my current cape crushes: Wilfred Salome Cape, available at Aritzia, $195. This cape is not my usual colour palette, which is also why I love it. A very lovely PR friend turned me on to it, and she's completely in love with it, too.
