How-to video: Master the half moon manicure
Modern
nail art gives me an infinite amount of joy. I'm talking empty half-moons and
glitter fades, not white french tips and Flo-Jo-esque designs. Recently, I've been spending hours a week browsing the web looking for the latest and greatest colour combinations, patterns and new nail editorials. It's entered into borderline obsession territory. But hey, it's a a pretty safe obsession, just as long as I don't start sniffing the nail polish fumes. In the December issue, Katherine and I produced a beautiful nail art feature with some major help from Canada's nail queen: Leeanne Colley. It wasn't only pleasing to the eye, but it also demystified how to get the looks at home with DIY tips and steps.
A few months back I paid a visit to my favourite nail salon Tips Nail Bar & Spa — which also happens to be the homestead of Leeanne Colley. I sat down with one of her nail technicians extraordinaire, Rita Remark, to take me through the steps on how to accomplish a half-moon manicure at home. CLICK HERE to check out the how-to video.
