Cool collab: Alexander Wang x H&M hits stores November 6th
Alexander Wang is a busy man. The super cool—seriously, he is the coolest dude—American designer is already creative director of his namesake label, its diffusion line T by Alexander Wang and in late 2012 he was placed at the helm of the French house of Balenciaga. The news of his next endeavour broke in April during the trendiest (of course) music festival out there—Coachella. It was announced that H&M, famous for luring the biggest and best designers, was going to have Wang design their annual fall collaboration. And the crowd went wilddddd!
I haven’t been this excited for a designer collaboration since the Alber Elbaz’s Lanvin for H&M collection in 2010. And this one is shaping up to be just as good—if not better. For a lack of a better word its stacked, and by that I mean really, really good with a ton of variety. It's almost like buying real Wang, which is the biggest complement of all. As for the materials, they feel expensive and classic Wang, pieces feature technical fabrics such as neoprene, transparent mesh, rubber, leather and a ton of body con spandex. Just a few pieces from the collab that are on our shopping list.[/caption] Like his branded designs he's produced both men's and women's offerings. Along with a whole boat load of accessories ranging from hats, gym bags, shoes, sports bras, bathing suits, belts and more.
Insider tip: It's even better in person. While visiting the fast fashion Swedish retailer's showroom I had a chance to see, touch and even try on a few pieces. THEY'RE AWESOME. Great quality, too. The entire 250-piece collection is hitting major H&M stores starting November 6th. See you in line!
