Beloved Canadian luxury knitwear brand, Line Knitwear, is famed for their custom yarn blends and modern cuts. The label often sticks with a neutral palette that favours shades over colours, but not for their fall 2014 collection. Their fall 2014 offering was injected with ultra-vibrant hues like cobalt, oxblood and fuchsia. While I was smitten with the mohair and berry heavy collection,  I really swelled when I  saw the beautiful makeup created by face painter extraordinaire and Maybelline New York lead artist for Canada, Grace Lee. Backstage before the show Lee told me that the designing duo of Line Knitwear—John Muscat and Jennifer Wells—were inspired by mystical and enchanted forests. "Line often sticks with a lot of black for fall, but this collection is injected with neutrals and greens," says Lee. To complement the colours she stuck with a silver and fuchsia pairing. In my books, this is the ultimate power couple!

"When the models walk down the runway you're going to see flecks and flashes of silver," says Lee. To add to the drama of the silver lids a very subtle ombre lip was added. First Lee applied Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick in Faint for Fuchsia all over the lips. Then, using her finger she tapped Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Lipstick in Rose in the centre of the lips.

As for the skin, she wanted flawless beautiful skin. "I told my team to make the skin sing," she says. Lee was up to her old tricks and used her special "Grace Lee 2.0" concoction, which consists of combining Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barley Branded and clear Baby Lips as highlight. The mix was applied to the high points of the face and a tiny bit on the bridge of the nose and chin.
