Just for Cats: Toronto's Internet Cat Video Festival
When my fantastic cat-adoring coworker asked me to attend Toronto's first Internet Cat Video Festival last month, I initially jumped at the opportunity. As
Canadian Living's online pets editor, I get to spend some time each week perusing the WWW in search of top rated pet videos that will appeal to our audience. It's a job perk I am very proud of. But last week, when I got to TIFF Bell Lightbox for said event, I must say I unraveled a bit. I underestimated the true love and devotion felt by feline aficionados across the city. And there were all types -- men, women, older men and women, burly guys with beards, office-types with stilettos.... Cat-friendly folk truly come in all forms. (Just have a look at the photo, below.)
The event was the first of its kind in Toronto, though not the first internationally.
Just for Cats has featured sold out shows in countries around the world, and Canadians can now attend showings in cities across Canada
. Click here for venues and showtimes. If you're wondering whether this is the same Cat Video Festival where
Laureen Harper was interrupted by an activist, you're absolutely right. The media has pretty much covered this part -- a lot. What I haven't seen much of, however, is a roundup of the best videos shown at the festival. So my coworker and I have put together some of our favourites for you to enjoy. From classics like Henri, le chat noir to Lil Bub and Grumpy Cat, here are five of our favourite videos from Just for Cats.

BONUS: Please don't hold us responsible if what's in this next video gets stuck in your head. You've been warned. (Make sure your speakers are on).
