Weekend Plans
Hi friends, Well, with any luck the torrential downpour that's happening right now will bring some weather relief, because I've got a huge crafty to-do list this weekend. First up: some sewing.
I found my
Cinnamon pattern from
Colette in my mailbox last night when I got home: exciting! The fabric is washed and ready to go, and so am I. I haven't done much with bias-cut fabric, and I've certainly never made underclothes, so this is going to be a challenge, but I think I'm up for it. Next up: some knitting.
I'll be participating in the
2010 TTC Knitalong on Saturday, along with a couple of ladies from the magazine. I'm looking forward to a day of knitting in public, shopping for yarn, and laughing with friends. (And maybe a nice cold beer at the end of the day – shhh!) Finally: some reading.
- This interview with Alicia Paulson, whose latest book, Embroidery Companion: Classic Designs for Modern Living, is due out August 10.
- The "first fall" issue of Knitty, with lots of lovely projects to take you from summer into the colder weather.
- The comments on this week's Roll Call. (I get a big kick out of reading all the comments in one go!)
