In honour of Queen Elizabeth II's Sapphire Jubilee, take a look at some of her earliest public moments.
In early 2017, Queen Elizabeth celebrates her Sapphire Jubilee. This celebration not only marks her 65-year reign but also the fact that Elizabeth II becomes the first British monarch in history to reach the milestone.

Queen Elizabeth took the throne at age 25 after the death of her father. She was crowned on June 2, 1953 at Westminster Abbey—the first coronation to be broadcast live on television.
