In bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of the oil, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper. Add bocconcini and onion; cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to 24 hours.)Brush baguette slices with remaining oil. Place on greased grill over medium heat; grill, turning occasionally, until crisp and golden, about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, add tomatoes and basil to cheese mixture; toss to combine. Serve on toasted baguette slices.
